Mermaids: A Study of Detail

Moving from hard sci-fi back to fantasy, I'll always work a bit between. These are my idea of merpeople: marine, morrigan humans: a tribe adapted to life in the waters with subtle traits, waterproof skin and sharp senses. They are more intelligent than humans but hate technology and human societies. They have collected natural and human items as a form of culture and use basic tools and weapons. Above all, these are fantasy creature though I've rendered them in a more realistic, plausible style.
Do you think sea monsters exist, do you believe in mermaids? ...
