Heavencruiser - EVE "Expansion Wars" concept

A sci-fi focused work featuring a smaller gunship in the space war genre. EVE has become a kind of obsession for me. While I'm not game-addicted, the in-game world and wiki mythos is pretty solid stuff.

-- A lonely blue-and-red toned Separatist warship cruises at the edge of Freestate space. Just half a lightyear beyond lays a gap where enemy Caldari drones and destroyers lurk – a dangerous place to be exploring. If an attack happens, this well-defended ship can beat back multiple ships.

This kind of Hawk-class warship is a near-cry from Caldari design - the inspiration of the NCF fleet and other tech. Reliant on mixed rad-gun–missile combat, the Freestate ships combine ranged attacks with laser and close-range gun strikes. Smaller ships in this faction also double as enforcement, security and recon vessels.
